Program Overview
The online training component is designed to provide the academic competencies you need to be effective in today’s enforcement/compliance environment. This includes online research, understanding the impact of pertinent legislation, knowing your legal and ethical boundaries, preparing for court, effective communication, developing your soft skills, etc.
An in-class training portion focuses on applying the skills necessary to effectively and safely perform your duties and build on the material covered in the online training program.
The Goal of the Program Is:
To provide the best enforcement and compliance services for your organization and its community. More importantly, it will give you the skills to ensure you go home safely at the end of your work day.
PROVINCIAL OFFENCES OFFICER TRAINING COURSE
(PARK RANGER)
This course is broken into three main certifications:
- Core Competency training as a Provincial Offences Officer
- Violence Prevention
- Conflict Avoidance Certification
Questions are built into the modules.
What follows is a module-by-module program that follows the same format as the course taught in person.
Your instructor monitors your progress and knows how much time you spend in each module. This will be reflected in the course report, so don’t be tempted to click through the content without studying it and then challenging the quizzes along the way.
Each quiz will only allow you three attempts to get 100%. After the third attempt, you will be locked out and must contact your instructor to unlock it.
